I myself bake loads of healthy alternatives to refined sugar and gluten containing cakes.

It was a little sad that all the Healthy cakes and treats were described as inedible apart from the liquorice. I wasn't 100% sure who the killer was for a while but even when you know who the killer is, hearing their motive and how it happened can be surprising or at least interesting in books like these. The characters were fun and those with challenging or unlikeable traits made my knuckles itch, just as I feel the author wanted them to 😅.

The story was not unusual for its genre but was nicely done. I chose this as an audiobook likely to provide light-hearted and easy listening fun. But before she can begin her new life and put her plans for her bookshop into action, Fred and Watson have a mystery to solve.
